Jackson lived like king but died awash in debt June 26, 2009

Yet after selling more than 61 million albums in the U.S. and having a decade-long attraction open at Disney theme parks, the “King of Pop” died Thursday at age 50 reportedly awash in about $400 million in debt, on the cusp of a final comeback after well over a decade of scandal.

It seems no matter how much money we have, we are still enticed to live a quality of life that is outside our income.  Debt is sold to us as the solution to our “quality of life needs”.  However, it robs us of our joy and freedom.

Let’s take a hard critical look at our own lives and how much debt we have.  What kind of legacy are we leaving our children?  Are we leaving wealth or debt?  Whatever happened to the idea of leaving our children a legacy of wealth?

Today, choose to fight to stay away from debt and those who market it.  We can do better!  We can do it for our children!
