As the world unites around the idea that the economy is struggling, we need to stand up as leaders. The pressures from marketers, businesses, and even the government are mounting to convince us to take on more debt “in order to get the economy going again”. Though the government and mainstream media make it sound very altruistic to give up your freedom and take on more debt, we need leaders that will stand up and not cave to societal pressures and take on debt. We have all been there when debt is too large for us to handle. We do not want to get back in that situation, especially with a “bad” economy.
With that understanding let us do our part to stay true to our core disciplines of paying off debt, creating an emergency account, and giving to charity.
