BeatingDebt.org created a plan of action to use with our Keeping Pace groups. The plan outlines 7 Laps that you need to complete so you can be successful on your financial marathon to beat debt. The Laps are:
- Commit to beating debt.
- Set up a $1000 Emergency Fund.
- Pay off Credit Cards.
- Set up one month of living expenses in the Emergency Fund.
- Pay off Consumer Loans.
- Set up three months of living expenses in the Emergency Fund.
- Teach others to beat debt.
